Who we are

As a teacher with a deep passion for both personal growth and travel, I have spent years immersing myself in different cultures and environments, with Costa Rica holding a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of spending significant time in this beautiful country, where I’ve not only deepened my connection to nature but also honed my surfing skills. My travels have allowed me to explore different aspects of self-care and mindfulness, which I now integrate into my teaching style. I’m passionate about helping others find balance and inner peace, whether through surfing, meditation, or simply connecting with the world around them. Costa Rica’s serene energy and stunning landscapes have been a constant source of inspiration in both my personal and professional journey, and I’m excited to share that with you.

From a young age, I found myself drawn to the vibrant beauty and tranquility of Costa Rica, and what started as an adventure quickly turned into a life-changing experience. The moment I arrived, I fell in love with the lush landscapes, the warm, welcoming people, and the incredible sense of peace that seemed to envelop me. At the age of 20, I packed up my things and moved to the Osa Peninsula to work at Encanta La Vida. Living here has taught me so much about slowing down, connecting with nature, and embracing the joy of the present moment. Now, I’m passionate about sharing this magical place with others, helping them experience the same sense of transformation and renewal that I’ve found. Whether it's through surfing, exploring the stunning beaches, or simply soaking in the Pura Vida vibe, I want to invite you to discover the joy and magic that Costa Rica has to offer.

Join me at the July Rejuvenation Retreat that will be full of relaxation, fun, and personal growth! With 13 years of teaching experience and training from the renowned Nosara Yoga Institute, I offer a yoga experience that’s casual, joyful, and full of laughter. Our Vinyasa flow sessions will be meditative and accompanied by inspiring music, allowing you to connect deeply with your body and breath. We’ll also explore transformative tips from Body Thrive to enhance your well-being both on and off the mat. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my three grown children, fishing, traveling and capturing life through photography. This retreat is a perfect opportunity to unwind, connect, and rejuvenate in a nurturing and gorgeous environment. I can't wait to share this special experience with you!

Jen, a Sarasota native with a bachelor’s in education from the University of South Florida, has taught sports medicine and health science for many years. Her 15-year yoga journey began to balance her passion for endurance sports, eventually inspiring her to earn a master’s in Exercise Science and become a Certified Exercise Specialist. In 2021, Jen completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Reiki Level 1 certification. She now leads safe, alignment-focused yoga classes, aiming to help students build strength, deepen self-discovery, and find balance in both body and mind.
